Loosing weight the luxurious way: German company presents a golden activity sensor!
If you’re going to lose weight, do it in style! The German company Aipermon will present a 24 karat gold plated version of its activity sensor AiperMotion at the Arab Health Congress in Dubai (January 28-31, 2008).
But, it is not only the shell of the sensor that is fascinating; it is also the unique ability to register all of your everyday activities. You simply put the device on your belt and go. An integrated display shows the intensity and duration of your activities, as well as the resulting calories burned. This way you see how much energy you use up climbing the stairs, doing housework or working in the yard, to name a few examples, motivating you to lead a more active lifestyle.
In a study from the university in Magdeburg, obese families were given the remote monitoring version of the sensor, which sent their data directly to the university. The subjects monitored with AiperMotion lost three times as much weight as the ones without it! Now the device is being used in clinical weight-loss programs.
The golden version of the sensor being presented at the convention is a private-use version. A traditional manufactory in Munich produces this special edition by hand. So, if you want to lose weight luxuriously, you’ll have to be willing to part with excess not only on your body but also in your wallet – but you’ll save that on candy anyway.
