Tests for licensing new drugs are very time-consuming and cost intensive. During test trials, it was necessary until now, for the required observation of vital parameters of test persons and patients, to call them in regularly, or laboriously digitalise measurements afterwards.
When telemedical monitoring systems are used at home by the test persons, the following advantages arise:
- Measurements are possible at any frequency and take a minimal amount of time, and can be transferred immediately or at short intervals to the pharmaceutical study centre. In addition they can be made available to GPs or specialists supervising the patient.
- If there are undesired changes, or the test person interrupts or cancels his involvement, this can be seen at any time; intervention can take place at very short notice
- Emergencies are reported with a special status in the system
The AiperCoach Mobile system is particularly suited to complex studies, and it can be used both at home and away from home. It enables a wide range of measuring devices to be connected, and provides bidirectional communication between the user and the study centre.
