Dr. Thomas Schweizer

is executive director of Aipermon GmbH & Co. KG and is responsible for the fields of Marketing and Sales, Business Development and Partner Management. He is one of the founding members of the company, which from 1st March 2005 to 25th May 2007 was named Actimon GmbH & Co KG.

Thomas Schweizer studied physics at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, worked at the Fraunhofer-Institut for Applied Solid State Physics in Freiburg and was awarded a doctorate at the RWTH Aachen.

Thomas Schweizer started his professional career at Robert Bosch GmbH, where he underwent an international trainee programme in 1992. After this he was in charge of the field of Production Coordination and responsible for setting up a key account team.

In 1996 Thomas Schweizer moved to Siemens HL in the field of chip cards and security ICs. Until 1999 he was head of the Product Analysis and Product Development departments there and played a large role in setting up and expanding international development locations.

From 2000 he was head of development (Infineon Technologies AG) and held worldwide responsibility for innovation, specification, technology and product development, as well as system engineering.

In 2002 he set up and managed "Innovation and Concepts" in the Secure Mobile Solutions business division within Infineon. This function involves innovation management, strategic product orientation, product and system definition, and system architectures.

From 2004, Thomas Schweizer oversaw the implementation of ActiCoach technology (telemonitoring) in the Emerging Business division at Infineon.
